Ayurvedic Cleanse Support
The following three Ayurveda cleanses are considered a form of fasting (with food), and are a great way to kindle agni (digestive fire) and burn away toxins from the body. They can also eliminate gas, make the body light, improve mental clarity, preserve overall health, and more. Ayurveda favors regular or seasonal fasting over long-term ‘abstinence’ regimes which could deplete bodily tissues and cause doshic imbalance. One highly recommended form of cleansing is to fast one day a week, drinking only vegetable broths, herbal teas, and warm lemon water, though those leaning toward Vata dosha should not fast from food (as it can make Vata higher), but should fast from talking (whether a day or a half-day).
The offerings below are recommended in specific intervals also noted.
